The only and best option is prevention, because AIDS still has no cure or vaccine. However, certain progress has the science to find a drug that prevents the virus from reproducing in some special cases of AIDS. This drug "anti-viral" is called AZT, which has allowed some recovery and improvement in quality of life for some people with AIDS. Unfortunately, AZT not release anyone from the virus, can cause severe reactions in addition to its use. Currently are testing a mixture of drugs called "cocktails" which have helped extend the lives of some patients.
