HIV has penetrated into the cell. Its genetic material consists of RNA, DNA is copied, the "provirus" DNA is integrated into the target cell, which means that the infection persists throughout the life of the cell and if it falls in progeny.

The AIDS virus is not unique. Have relatives in humans and primates. These studies indicate that some related viruses have evolved into a nonpathogenic coexistence with their hosts. THE AFRICAN GREEN MONKEY is the largest reservoir of virus simian immunodeficiency virus (SIV), a relative of AIDS in various populations of African green monkeys from infection levels by this agent detected between 30% and 70%. Reason is unknown why this virus causes no disease in African green monkeys and instead causes AIDS in monkeys (SIDAS) to Asian macaques are caged in research centers.
HIV POSITIVE
If a person has a positive laboratory result for HIV, but not this sick, this person does not have AIDS. Has the virus in their blood and can transmit it, but has not developed AIDS, if the person is not sick can speak of someone infected with HIV, living with the virus or simply a person without symptoms.
